Destiny of India and Seeta Mata by Satnam Singh Sidhu BC

Destiny of India and Seeta Mata by Satnam Singh Sidhu BC

Destiny of India is nothing more than the destiny of Indians. There are few other names that are used by Indians which are regional in nature. Like Hindustani is mainly used by people of Indian provinces which are Hindi spoken. Likewise Desh Punjab is used mainly by Northern Indians especially Punjabi speaking Indians. Likewise there are so many regional names used by people for their own convenience.

Some people regret their decision to be part of India after independence. People of India are lacking nationalism due to various reasons. Mainly due to language barrier, cultural barrier and religious barriers. National politicians are main culprits for keeping these barriers or gap wide open for their own political gains.

One big card they always played since independence is of language barrier. They branded Hindi speaking regions as Hindustani and created cultural hate against non-Hindi speaking regions and people. They portrait Hindi as national language and non-Hindi languages as anti national. Southern Indian who do not accept Hindi as their national language because they love their own regional languages creates a big gap between Southern India and rest of India. Far east regions like Assam, Bengal also have their own languages and don't feel the need of Hindi as national language. In northern India, people of Punjab did not accept Hindi as national language either. Everyone knows what happened in Punjab in 1984 which was visible to every ordinary person. Even though the leaders of Punjab always blamed Indian Government since independence for keeping a unfavorable attitude towards people of Punjab. Not only that people of Punjab were tried to be separated based on language and religion. Punjabi speaking Hindus were conspired by national parties to mention Hindi as their mother tongue during national census.

Second card they play time to time is card of religion. As majority people are Hindi speaking in eastern, central and western India and these regions amounts to majority of Indian population which in turn amounts to majority of MP in Indian parliament. So politicians branded these regional people as Hindustani even though a big chunk of this regional population are Muslim. This very name gives Muslim Indians as second class citizen feeling being called Hindustani.

Congress strategically used Cow as their national symbol. This automatically created rift between Hindus and Muslims. Congress portrayed cow as national symbol and a sacred animal. Hindu portray Cow as Mother. On other hand Muslims use cow for food. Cow meat is considered delicious not only by Muslims but also by western countries.

Cow slaughter was not banned in the hay days of the Indus valley civilization and early vedic periods.Banning of cow slaughter was chiefly due to economic reasons.Emperor Ashoka banned it, to prevent quality bulls from being killed for food during famine. It was later made a part of Hindu custom and people started blindly opposing cow slaughter. In our country thousands of people are dying , because of
hunger and thirst. If slaughtering a cow can save money for a poor farmer and add to his meager income , then , why can't we allow cow slaughter?.

Religion and language are used as main cards by Indian political parties to attract the voters towards them. Congress went further one step within the Hindu voters. They used reservation as the main card within Hindu voters and attracted the majority Hindu voters by providing them reservation in educational institutions and in employment. The worker class of Hindu population, the so called 4th class or untouchables, got some social uplift under the reservation policies of Indian government. It is not that they were given social acceptance by high caste Congressmen of India, but they were used by a handful of Hindu elite class to make them their permanent political vote bank for congress. The other Hindu elite class did not like their idea. They opposed congress at every step. But it was possible for them to win in this game. Because the majority voters in India are lower Hindu class named as Schedule Caste SC or Backward Class BC. SC and BC voters out numbers Hindu elite voters. This is the very reason opposition never remain in power for very long. Their one time success against Congress was solely because of their open discrimination agenda against Muslim community. They fetch majority in the name of building a Lord Ram Mandir in Ayodhya by demolishing Muslim Babri Mosque.

Controverisal billboardWhat ever the situation India is right now, the politicians are purely responsible for it. Rather than building a united India where people of all cultures, religions, faiths and languages could have lived together and unitedly worked hard to build a Indian community reflecting cultural diversity and tolerance and respect for each other, it ended in shattering the idea of national unity. Muslims feels degraded and disrespected in India. Sikhs and Hindus of Punjab feels the pain of state oppression by Indian defense forces, by the interference of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, Central politicians.

Even though the Card of Hinduism was played by Indian Politicians at that time and people of Punjab were punished to death, shot to death, burned to death, tortured to death, raped to death, humiliated in front of families and were jailed for life imprisonment at hidden spots. Till date families are missing their family members and they have no clue whether they were gunned down or are still behind bars somewhere in India. Till date no politician of India dare to talk about this issue in Indian parliament and no one dared to have a fair independent inquiry and punish the politicians who were behind this whole conspiracy.

Indian law have completely failed to address the issue of Punjab genocide in which Hindus and Sikhs were tortured to death. Survivors lived a life under terror and constant fear without any law and order. Even law and order personal and their families suffered major loss in Punjab.

When did this conspiracy started? Where did this was planned? Who were involved in it? Where did Indian Defense forces practiced their attack plan? Which agencies were responsible for killing our Hindu brothers and sisters? Which agencies were used to train forces as terrorists who were used to destroy the families of Punjab and who were corrupt officers who used their own criminal groups to intimidate people of Punjab and robbed every single penny from poor villagers in the name of terrorism?

As it is very clear to Hindu religious leaders and ordinary citizens of India that neither political parties (Congress and BJP) are sincere to get them the justice. The birthplace of Lord Ram is still under dispute forever. Both parties have played with the sentiments of Indian people. Whether it is Hindu or Muslim; Budh or Sikh; Christen or Jain.

Sikhs are awaiting justice since 1984 for Indian Defense Forces invasion on Sikh Shrines all across India and Punjab and genocide of people of Punjab.

Hindus are awaiting justice since 1992 for possession of Lord Ram's birth place. People light candles in Gauhati, India, to mark the verdict.
Muslims are awaiting justice in Gujarat since 2002.

Women of India is awaiting justice since Mata Seeta's kidnapping by Ravana. Mata Seeta was rescued by Lord Rama and his followers. But no Ram is coming forward to rescue Indian women (Bhartiye Nari) from Indian Ravanas who beat her to death for dowry, who rape her, who give her no identity.

Poor of India is awaiting freedom from pain of hunger. India need nothing from outside to finish poverty. All it need is to kill corruption.

There is no need to fight against corrupt leaders.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. PTISimply plan for coming elections and chose honest and simple leaders like Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. People complain that he is a weak PM, but don't judge him from his silence, judge him from his planning and execution of policies. He alone can not do anything about corrupt politicians in parliament, but he is trying to do what he can. If he speaks honestly then almost whole parliament would be against him. Because majority is corrupt and few honest parliamentarians won't have guts, like us, to support him. Don't blame a honest man, if you really want to listen to such a person, then give him a honest parliament force by electing honest MPs.
It seems as if most Indians are inheriting the spirit of Ravana. No body want to become Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Guru Nanak, Guru Gobind Singh.

I know everyone is busy in their own career and their family. No one has time to fix social fabric of India. Just imagine if Mahatma Gandhi, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sahdev, Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha and all freedom fighters of India (including Hindu, Muslim, Sikhs and All) would have said the same thing, where would you have been standing today.
Anna Hazare took a great initiative but people like you never bothered supporting him. It is very easy, as it is for me to write, to support through facebook or e-mails but real freedom asks lot more than this.

When no hope is left and you still get it!

When no hope is left and you still get it! Satnam Singh Sidhu BC

A time comes in life when you feel alone and you have a strong feeling that nobody is on your side. No body care about you and no one want to listen to you.

During this time you ask your new friends about your dilemma and they tell you what to do just based on what they know about you and what is their experience in that field.

But sometimes you get an answer which may astound you. You might have never seen yourself from that prospective.

I shared my feelings with a new colleague which is becoming my new friend. I asked her that I am very sad inside now a days and I really don't know why? Another colleague entered the conversation and showed his interest in the topic. He also asked me why I feel like that?

I get caught in a situation where I was really expecting an answer to that question from her and later from him. Instead they asked me to share why I feel like so?

I said I really want the answer from you guys and that is the reason I shared my feelings with you. My friend said that I must be hiding some sinful thinking otherwise I should be able to share my feelings with them.

I was astound from their observation about me and my feelings. I never got such a comment about myself in whole life.

It may be true that I might a person of that caliber who is committing sins in his life without acknowledging the sins. But on the other hand I think since my new friend hardly knows about me and my past life, she may wrong in her opinion about me.

But I never dared to talk to her about this matter after this. It is more than a week and I am still wandering about myself. Who I am? What she said is true or not!

I don't want to engage her in this topic deliberately because chances are she may realize what she said and may change her opinion simply to comfort me.

But question arises apart from that what is sin and what is not? Is there a straight answer to this or it is relative to a situation?

This is my new topic of search. What is SIN?

I asked many of my colleagues in last week and I got various vague answers to it. In past couple weeks I found myself in a situation where I got upset with my manager for not getting me enough help from the service department. He politely asked me to slow down and do every thing you can by yourself. Because know body can help me in that situation. Even he asked me to go home if I can not handle the situation. I told my manager that I don't think there is any need to go home for myself and if someone really have to go home then support staff should go home and not me.

Few days later one of my colleague got upset with me and blamed me for interference to his work. He did not stop there and further blamed that I interfere in every body's job and nobody likes me here.

Even though first part was understandable and I knew why he was upset because another colleague shared his sale to half. But later comment is bothering me now.

Is he really right in his opinion. Am I really a man of inconvenience to others. Am I bothering others during the work hours.

So far two things are on my agenda now. Am I sinful and am I inconvenient to others at work.
I really don't know and I want to find a way to resolve the issue. Why? Because I can not live in peace if I ever feel I am bothering anyone without reason.

How I am going to find the answer, I don't know. I hope someone may suggest me something.

By the way during the same week I have found some hope in my old friends. I found one of my friend through internet after 26 years. Also I found a group of people who wanted to help some needy students and I am part of it and some of my old friend initiating a project on my request to form a trust fund so that we can continue helping needy students in future as well.

I have got some comfort out of it. I have seen some hope to my feelings through my old friends and yet I am seeking help from my new friends.............

Past is Destiny Future is Changeable only if we act in present

What happened is past regardless of ones efforts and hard work was destined to happened...as there is only one way to be happened...Future is unknown and can be changed in a positive direction provided we remain optimistic and put our best efforts now (present) to change it in a positive direction ...Once it happened according to our expectations or not, it was destined to happened and there is no point to be disappointed about it...why..because we still have future to make a positive change in our life.... Dave Hayer and BC Politics and NOW Canadian Politics

Dave Hayer and BC Politics and NOW Canadian Politics

Lot of people have vision and a plan to do something constructive, no matter at what level they are functioning in the society. Some people function without vision or may be they have their own so called vision which may be self serving in nature.

People run in politics for various reasons. But to me most important and valid reason is serve the community to make some positive changes. Some run in politics because they got break through first time by luck and later it becomes their necessity! Why? What else they will do? How they are going to pay their household bills?

Some serve the  country and the community and some serve the party and some serve themselves! And this scale decide how dedicated elected officials we have in the parliament or assembly who are running the government and planning the future of the community.

Self serving elected officials are there, but they are not there to serve you, they are there to collect a paycheck every month from tax payer's pockets. Those you serve the party are mostly "Yes" persons, which may be detrimental during very critical and crucial decision making votes. They simply say "Yes" to party decision regardless it is good or bad decision. On top of the scale are the elected officials who represent country and community and they do not settle for vested interests of their party or their own.

It is up to the constituents to decide who is the best. At one point it was heard that Dave Hayer is out of politics due to some personal reasons. Now all of sudden he changed his mind! I like to hear from Mr Hayer about his achievements from 2001-2013. Even though I am not from his constituency but being acitizen I have right to ask what have he done for the BC community in past?

What he is going to do in future for community and why he want to go for federal politics? I understand if he get elected he will contribute one yes vote for his party in Canadian parliament just like in BC assembly. But other than a Yes man to his party what are his contributions to BC and What is his vision about Canadian Politics in Ottawa? Why Ottawa? Why he had been approached many times over the years to seek a seat as a Member of Parliament?

Simply because he was winning in BC elections consecutively since 2000, or he had made significant contribution to the community of BC.

I know Mr Hayer always bring up his dad's murder in his agenda. I have sympathy for him for that matter. It is sad that the murder case has not been resolved. But that is not enough to vote for him. Being a matured politician he should give his constituents and country a clear vision and agenda of his own which should complement the national agenda of his party. If a Canadian Politician does not have a clear vision and agenda of his own - he should not run for politics- neither the constituents should vote for such a person.

Otherwise it is a waste of vote, waste of time, waste of tax payer money and waste of one important voice as elected official. Waste in Assembly-Waste in Parliament. A simple waste...

Dusty Coal Trains of BC (Our Beautiful British Columbia)

Daily routines keeps people busy and leave little time for involving in neighborhood issues. Some people think there involvement or opinion have literally no effect on decisions of local, provincial or federal governments decisions.

Video taken on June 07, 2013 along highway 99 northbound from Surrey, Delta to Richmond, Vancouver
(In the video I was talking to my brother-in-law about the train in Punjabi language and was amazed at the amount of coal dust)

Anyway everyone have their own opinions and there are always reasons behind it. But I am glad that our Board of Metro Vancouver have done a great job by voting against new coal terminal. According to them this project does not provide enough benefit to offset the environment risk involved. In my opinion even if the project generates ten times more jobs, still it is risky.

Last week I saw a cargo train full of coal which was dashing out from Surrey along highway 10 and crossed the highway 99 towards Delta North. It was unbelievable what I saw. For a moment I forget that I was in BC-The Beautiful British Columbia. I thought I am in my dreams. It can not happen in real world.

I saw all the train cars were full of coal dust blowing up in the sky. The amount of dust was so vast that it was hard to see through it. Unimaginable! Unbelievable!

For a moment I was thinking how did this train full of coal blowing coal dust all around managed to be on tracks. When a truck full of sand or soil or saw-dust goes on road, it is supposed to cover it with tarpaulin, otherwise it is violation of traffic rules. It poses danger to environment and drivers.

But this train is breaking all laws of environment and no body is stopping it. A simple dust can cause so many health problems and we are talking about coal dust which was blowing out along on both sides of the tracks. I saw it first time. I am not a regular commuter on highway 91 and 99. So I don't know how many dusty trains run on daily or weekly basis. It is hard to believe that people have to breath that dirty dusty air who live or work along the track vicinity.

It seems like the traffic and environment rules are for ordinary Canadians, where they have to pay air care fees and big repair bills to keep their vehicles environmentally friendly. Where they have to pay Carbon Tax. But what about these Dirty Dusty Trains. And it was not that it was an accident that only one or two train cars were blowing out dust. It was literally all the train cars blowing out the coal dust in the air. It was a big cloud of black coal dust around the trains moving at the speed of around 80-100 km/hour.

What a shame! We talk so big about environment and things like this are happening right under our nose. A Beautiful British Columbia with Dirty Dusty Coal Tracks.

I feel sorry for people who live and breath in the vicinity of those tracks.

Brand Name at cost of Poor Workers in Bangladesh

Bangladesh: The Human Cost Of Cheap Fashion (via Lipstick & Politics)

What is the true, human cost of our cheap clothing?   Last week an eight storey garment factory collapsed in Bangladesh killing nearly 400 people, most of them young women.  Intense retail competition and demand for ever-cheaper clothing in wealthy nations have fueled the economy of this extremely…
