Past is Destiny Future is Changeable only if we act in present

What happened is past regardless of ones efforts and hard work was destined to happened...as there is only one way to be happened...Future is unknown and can be changed in a positive direction provided we remain optimistic and put our best efforts now (present) to change it in a positive direction ...Once it happened according to our expectations or not, it was destined to happened and there is no point to be disappointed about it...why..because we still have future to make a positive change in our life.... Dave Hayer and BC Politics and NOW Canadian Politics

Dave Hayer and BC Politics and NOW Canadian Politics

Lot of people have vision and a plan to do something constructive, no matter at what level they are functioning in the society. Some people function without vision or may be they have their own so called vision which may be self serving in nature.

People run in politics for various reasons. But to me most important and valid reason is serve the community to make some positive changes. Some run in politics because they got break through first time by luck and later it becomes their necessity! Why? What else they will do? How they are going to pay their household bills?

Some serve the  country and the community and some serve the party and some serve themselves! And this scale decide how dedicated elected officials we have in the parliament or assembly who are running the government and planning the future of the community.

Self serving elected officials are there, but they are not there to serve you, they are there to collect a paycheck every month from tax payer's pockets. Those you serve the party are mostly "Yes" persons, which may be detrimental during very critical and crucial decision making votes. They simply say "Yes" to party decision regardless it is good or bad decision. On top of the scale are the elected officials who represent country and community and they do not settle for vested interests of their party or their own.

It is up to the constituents to decide who is the best. At one point it was heard that Dave Hayer is out of politics due to some personal reasons. Now all of sudden he changed his mind! I like to hear from Mr Hayer about his achievements from 2001-2013. Even though I am not from his constituency but being acitizen I have right to ask what have he done for the BC community in past?

What he is going to do in future for community and why he want to go for federal politics? I understand if he get elected he will contribute one yes vote for his party in Canadian parliament just like in BC assembly. But other than a Yes man to his party what are his contributions to BC and What is his vision about Canadian Politics in Ottawa? Why Ottawa? Why he had been approached many times over the years to seek a seat as a Member of Parliament?

Simply because he was winning in BC elections consecutively since 2000, or he had made significant contribution to the community of BC.

I know Mr Hayer always bring up his dad's murder in his agenda. I have sympathy for him for that matter. It is sad that the murder case has not been resolved. But that is not enough to vote for him. Being a matured politician he should give his constituents and country a clear vision and agenda of his own which should complement the national agenda of his party. If a Canadian Politician does not have a clear vision and agenda of his own - he should not run for politics- neither the constituents should vote for such a person.

Otherwise it is a waste of vote, waste of time, waste of tax payer money and waste of one important voice as elected official. Waste in Assembly-Waste in Parliament. A simple waste...

Dusty Coal Trains of BC (Our Beautiful British Columbia)

Daily routines keeps people busy and leave little time for involving in neighborhood issues. Some people think there involvement or opinion have literally no effect on decisions of local, provincial or federal governments decisions.

Video taken on June 07, 2013 along highway 99 northbound from Surrey, Delta to Richmond, Vancouver
(In the video I was talking to my brother-in-law about the train in Punjabi language and was amazed at the amount of coal dust)

Anyway everyone have their own opinions and there are always reasons behind it. But I am glad that our Board of Metro Vancouver have done a great job by voting against new coal terminal. According to them this project does not provide enough benefit to offset the environment risk involved. In my opinion even if the project generates ten times more jobs, still it is risky.

Last week I saw a cargo train full of coal which was dashing out from Surrey along highway 10 and crossed the highway 99 towards Delta North. It was unbelievable what I saw. For a moment I forget that I was in BC-The Beautiful British Columbia. I thought I am in my dreams. It can not happen in real world.

I saw all the train cars were full of coal dust blowing up in the sky. The amount of dust was so vast that it was hard to see through it. Unimaginable! Unbelievable!

For a moment I was thinking how did this train full of coal blowing coal dust all around managed to be on tracks. When a truck full of sand or soil or saw-dust goes on road, it is supposed to cover it with tarpaulin, otherwise it is violation of traffic rules. It poses danger to environment and drivers.

But this train is breaking all laws of environment and no body is stopping it. A simple dust can cause so many health problems and we are talking about coal dust which was blowing out along on both sides of the tracks. I saw it first time. I am not a regular commuter on highway 91 and 99. So I don't know how many dusty trains run on daily or weekly basis. It is hard to believe that people have to breath that dirty dusty air who live or work along the track vicinity.

It seems like the traffic and environment rules are for ordinary Canadians, where they have to pay air care fees and big repair bills to keep their vehicles environmentally friendly. Where they have to pay Carbon Tax. But what about these Dirty Dusty Trains. And it was not that it was an accident that only one or two train cars were blowing out dust. It was literally all the train cars blowing out the coal dust in the air. It was a big cloud of black coal dust around the trains moving at the speed of around 80-100 km/hour.

What a shame! We talk so big about environment and things like this are happening right under our nose. A Beautiful British Columbia with Dirty Dusty Coal Tracks.

I feel sorry for people who live and breath in the vicinity of those tracks.

Eastern Wife:
Wife:             Honey I think you should work now!
Husband:       But Dear, my disability does not allow me to work.

Wife:             Honey, It is very hard to survive without second income!
Husband:       Dear, I feel very bad about it that I can not support you! I wish I die, so that you could at least

Wife:             For God sake, never mention again. I can live without money but not without you.

Western Wife:

Wife:             Honey I think you should work now!
Husband:       But Dear, my disability does not allow me to work.

Wife:             Honey, It is very hard to survive without second income!

                     claim my Life Insurance money!

Brand Name at cost of Poor Workers in Bangladesh

Bangladesh: The Human Cost Of Cheap Fashion (via Lipstick & Politics)

What is the true, human cost of our cheap clothing?   Last week an eight storey garment factory collapsed in Bangladesh killing nearly 400 people, most of them young women.  Intense retail competition and demand for ever-cheaper clothing in wealthy nations have fueled the economy of this extremely…

Airport Patdown procedures by TSA Agents in USA

A Canadian woman’s latest video of herself encountering the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) patdown procedures shows a female agent’s hand moving through her groin area, illustrating what she describes as a common violation of passenger privacy.

In that video I did not find anything objectionable that may violate once privacy of body parts. As far as important body point where one can hide anything  harmful are under the arms pit area, any bulging parts like breast area, in the underwear, socks, bottom of pants, shoes etc. TSA agents were courteous and co-operative in their action. Moreover it was in public, so chances of any abuse are slim. They are well trained and most of their touching of body parts were with proper style of hands posture and pressure.

It is unfortunate that circumstances have pushed airport authorities to search every one to such an extent, but it is not there fault. Moreover it is for the security of passengers on board and on the airport restricted area. If one imagines the benefit verses privacy, benefits are far more important than the privacy in this context.

But most suicidal criminals, if or whenever they decide or pushed to carry on a plot of such nature, those are the body parts, which they will use to hide explosives in exact same areas and it would be a heaven for them if TSA agency does not check those private body parts of passengers or not allowed to check those body parts.

Both genders are used by terrorists and thorough security search of both is very crucial.
On other hand passengers have valid concern of privacy but unfortunately in wake of such circumstances it is reasonable for authorities to take such precautionary measures and advisable to passengers to voluntarily allow such searches for their own safety and others safety until the security concerns settle down to normal in near future.

Both sides are right! Nobody is wrong!
Unfortunately the cunning satin is taking its toll on ordinary people's privacy and freedom.

Those who are overly concerned about their privacy and could not convince themselves! I would suggest to them to remind yourself of those moments when you have to go for medical examinations for your health reasons to a doctor and doctor have to check your private body parts for any signs of caner, skin decease, prostate etc; or when a mother is in labor and doctors have to deliver a baby; or doctors have to operate on you to cure from disease or organ failure.

Doctors scan and examine us for our well being. In same way, TSA agents scan and examine passengers bodies for any violation of security of passengers.

If someone feels embarrassing for such scanning in public, there should a choice for them to be scanned or checked in private under proper surveillance cameras and any other measure which can restore passenger's confidence that nobody would be take any unnecessary advantage of their body under the wake of security check.
